Koel Labs Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 10, 2026.
This policy covers Koel Labs LLC's general websites, mailing lists, and public community spaces. Slay Speech and Koel Companion have their own Privacy Policy, which controls for accounts, speech, analytics, and other information processed through those products.
What we collect and why
When you contact us or join a mailing list, we receive the contact information and messages you provide. We use them to respond or send the updates you request. We may also keep a limited record of your subscription or unsubscribe choice.
When you visit a site we operate, hosting and security services may receive your IP address, browser/device information, requested pages, and request times. We use that information to deliver the site and investigate failures or abuse.
If you contribute to a public repository, forum, or social profile, your chosen username, contribution, and other information you post may be public. Do not post private recordings, credentials, or personal information you are not authorized to disclose. Public posts may be copied into repository history, forks, archives, or search engines that we cannot control.
Downloading or running an open-source model does not by itself mean that Koel Labs receives its inputs. The software's documentation and configuration explain any network processing. Data you send to a Koel-hosted service is subject to that service's notice.
Providers and sharing
Hosting, email, and support providers help us operate our sites and communicate with you. They may process necessary information for those purposes. GitHub, LinkedIn, Hugging Face, and other platforms also process your interactions under their own policies: GitHub, LinkedIn, and Hugging Face.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose necessary information for valid legal requirements, security, protecting rights, professional advice, or a business transfer subject to applicable protections. We assess requests rather than agreeing to disclose data to everyone who asks.
Retention, rights, and international processing
We keep contact information while needed for the conversation or requested subscription; unsubscribe records may remain to respect your choice. Public contribution history may remain for project integrity and licensing. Logs are kept only as needed for operation, security, and applicable legal duties. Lawful retention exceptions and limited backup lifetimes can apply to deletion requests.
Use an email's unsubscribe link or contact us to stop marketing updates. You can also ask to access, correct, export, or delete your information, object to processing, withdraw consent, or exercise other rights available where you live. We verify requests when needed and respond within applicable deadlines. You may complain to the relevant regulator. We do not penalize you for exercising privacy rights.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we use consent for requested marketing where required, legitimate interests in operating and securing our sites and responding to inquiries, and applicable legal obligations.
We use reasonable safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security or remove copies of public information from every independent recipient. Our general services are not directed to children under 13. Contact us if a child has provided information unlawfully so we can address it.
